Between Aaron Copeland’s “Fanfare for the Common Man” and the patriotism inherent in Chopin’s Etudes and Mazurkas, one is struck with the ultimate sadness of his gigs (etudes and yet our own small hands rippling thru those piano keys, one can’t help but capture the fervor these artists capture and recapitulate from “here to eternity”.
