In the meantime a Big Apple candidate for the office of Mayor,arrived on our ancient turf, Avenue J, in Brooklyn’s Flatbush, now Midwood. Our yesterdays going back to Avenue H and 14thStreet. Our yearnings for Midwood High School on Bedford Avenue, a stretch of some 15 blocks on a cold morningmarathon run.
The “ media” may not have been born them to get a library card from the branch library. But “What makes Sammy Run” was still on those shelves, reserved for hard copy.. Anthony Weiner, “ego trip” for the City’s high office, had confessed to using the internet for sexual intimacies.

Although he had resigned from his Congressional seat the first time, this latest internet indiscretion and his supportive wife “blazing saddles” Adamant, he would not back down this time. He was here to stay in the race, no matter what hard print books were still being checked out at the Avenue J library electorate.
“My son is too young to be here in support of Dad. But his mother, my wife, supports f our continuing in the race for Mayor. I have committed foolish mistakes….”
“I love Anthony and for our family and our son, we stand together. For the voters and those who believe in my husband, our renewed energy is for them and all the middle class issues challenging them….””

Missus Weiner and her husband candidate may not have seenArchie Leach aka Cary Grant woo Deborah Kerr “An affair to remember” on Ted Turner’s late tv. But the similarities are stillvery much with us. Cary Grant before he morphed as the snakecharming image we got to love; he was Archie Leach, a mesmerizing actor on stilts … the Coney Island boardwalk eight decades ago, prohibition in a fadeout.
