The Queen’s Speech

We have come here not to bury nor mourn the passing of the 46 year old nurse , side winded by 2  d.j’s  from Down Under.”  (*”The Queen’s Speech”).

The good people locked up their tongues and threw away the keys, when Charlie Chaplin mimicked  the Fuhrer into his genocide of 6 million humans into grave sites.

                                                II

67 years later, the apparitions  if you will, appear in that  mimicking call to  King Edward IIII hospital where the Royal’s Kate Middleton, Dutchess of Cambridge, diagnosed with morning’s sickness,  the clipped sounds of the Queen Grand Mother and Prince Charles’s vocals.
Res ipso loquitur deceit enraged the public. Their interdependent galaxy, rattling the
supply chain from Nasa to the crew on what was once the Challenger Explorer Discovery.....

Putting the call through to the attending  nurse at the bedside of Katherine of Cambridge. These two nurses, loyal to their mission. Not  an ego pinch of deceit in their devotion to their patients  road to recovery..,.

                                            III

“Going home?. Are you?” “The English Patient” playing out.

How could the “down under d.j’s been put on the payroll in the first place To emulate Fibber
McGee and Molly? Fred Allen and his Portland ? Jack Benny and Mary Livinfgston?

Wasn’t Edith Cavel a World War heroine nurse, selfless, * beyond deceitful trenches. “The English Patient”, the attending nurse’s character beyond reproach..

Who am I speaking with?”

                                             IV

46 years into her life, she took the call. Like a receptionist buying into its credibility. And when she learned of being conned, her torch of selflessness went up in flames.

                                              V

Meantime  “Death of a Salesman” ended its run on London’s West End,  Willy Loman’s widow,  at the grave site. .“ We must pay attention”.”

School girl, Working girl, Wife, Mother, And Bobbe

School girl. Working girl.  Wife.  Mother.  And Bobbe.

“Leslie, said Missus Farnham to her grand daughter,”you’re a young lady. A teenager maybe, but a young lady with lots of dreams. And Leslie,” said Grandma, “they’re not all beautiful dreams.”

                                            II

“But Bobbe,”said Leslie, winding her long golden blonde hair into a pony tail.. “If dreams

are not all beautiful, how you can tell the difference between the pretty ones and the ugly ones?”

Ugly dreams get dirty with life,” said Grandma. “The clean dreams stay beautiful all the

time.”

                                            III

And the Bobbe’s brown eyes trailed oiff into the yesterdays of the past, remembering that morning, when sweepiung the stoop on 92nd Street and Avenue B in East Flastbush, she overheard a sixth grader on her way to P.S. 233, say to her girl friend “Gee, I wish I was little again.”

                                              IV

“Bobbe,” said Leslie, all of her twelve years of soap and suds groping for answers into maturity.”How can I know what kind of dreams I have now, if I have to wait till life dirties the ugly ones?”

“That my child,” said Grandma, “maybe why God puts us on this minor planet He wants to see if we can pass the test of life and keep our dreams beautiful and clean.”

“ Did you pass the test, Bobbe?” asked Leslie.

I don’t know if I did or not,” said Bobbe Esther. “But I don’t think I failed.”

Remembering way back when “What we are is God’s gift to us.  What we become is our gift to God”.

Killing his girl friend Kassandra Perkins, age twenty two, and mother of their three month old daughter, thirty minutes earlier, his own mother visiting from West Babylon.

Her son and Kassandra been in a clash of temperaments over her coming home late after a night out at a concert with friends. The rhetoric going to the edge as the game clock ticked away into the ensuing chain of causation and oblivion.

Hailing from Austen, Texas, a community college student, bent on becoming a school teacher.. A Chief’s wife introduced her to the linebacker. With four years of tackling stats and one sack, Jovan seemed to be a star in his own right.
